About Batsford Arboretum
Batsford is home to the country’s largest private collection of trees and shrubs and is run by the charitable trust, The Batsford Foundation. At 56 acres in size, Batsford is an intimate and romantic place to visit, with interest all year round, from the first snowdrops in Spring right through to the outstanding Autumn colour in October and November.
Where is Batsford Arboretum located?
Batsford Arboretum & Garden Centre is located just a mile and a half from the historic Cotswold market town of Moreton-in-Marsh. The entrance is on Bourton Road/along the A44 (towards/from Bourton on the Hill) – look out for brown directional signs as you approach from either direction. If using SATNAV, please use the postcode GL56 9AD which takes you towards Fenhill Close in Bourton-on-the-Hill, approx. 350 yards from the entrance.

Batsford is a botanical tree garden, covering a wide range of trees and plants from around the world with an emphasis on the Far East. There are over 2,850 labelled specimens including about 1,300 different trees, shrubs and bamboo. Batsford holds the National Collection of Japanese Flowering Cherries.
