The 58 acres of gardens at Harlow Car offer interest and colour all year round. The main borders have been designed with the difficult Yorkshire climate in mind, and the Kitchen Garden is packed with raised beds, a forager's garden and fruit trees. The Streamside garden is a delight, as are the woodland areas and the Scented Garden.

Harlow Carr is open all year round, and it's a family-friendly place that offers visual delights and creative inspiration. For children, there are regular activities in the holidays, as well as play areas, a tree house, a bird hide and resident chickens. Adults will enjoy the famous Betty's Tea Rooms and the RHS plant centre and shop. There is a full programme of events throughout the year, including craft exhibitions, music, cinema and theatre.
