Sitting in a peaceful valley, and alongside the River Frome, The Peto Garden is often visited by bike or by foot, along the many local footpaths from the surrounding villages. By car, it is a 15 minute drive from Bath or a 10 minute drive from Bradford on Avon.

The garden designer, Harold Peto, lived at Iford Manor from 1899 to 1933, and he created the stunning Grade I listed gardens that are still pleasing visitors today.
This steep garden covers 2.5 acres, and enjoys delightful views over the Frome valley, particularly from the cloisters, loggia and the casita. The gardens are filled with statues, urns and sarcophagi, collected by Peto.
With charming architecture and confident planting, the gardens include both formal and informal areas, herbaceous borders and woodland. The Japanese garden was added by the current owners of Iford Manor, the Cartwright-Hignett family.
