Staff use her diaries to recreate the lost garden features and historic plant collections of the past, the result being a garden that is brought back to its heyday with year-round interest for horticultural fans. Admire the rusty red acers, linger on the spotless croquet lawn or take a picnic to the upper garden for stunning views of the house. Wear the kids out on one of the walks through the 100 acres of parkland of the estate, taking in ancient bluebell woods and meadow land.
