Overview

Discover Seaton Delaval Hall, A place of great theatre and drama Built in the early 18th century and the best example in the country of English Baroque, Seaton Delaval Hall and Gardens was created by Sir John Van Brugh who was also responsible for Castle Howard and Blenheim Palace. The house has survived terrible fires and military occupation over its 900 year history but still stands defiant, from the glorious breathtakingly beautiful Central Hall to the dark cellar network of servants' quarters. Outside, the impressive tone of the house continues. An exquisite topiary parterre, languid sunny spots to dally in and a pretty pond and fountain provide the setting for your country house stroll.
