Overview

This Grade I listed Hall is situated in rolling Northamptonshire countryside. Its stunning gardens are open from April until October, and the entire place is available to hire for weddings and events.

Where is Kelmarsh Hall located?

Kelmarsh Hall is situated in the village of Kelmarsh, with easy access from the A508. The closest train station is Market Harborough, and there is a bus service from there to Kelmarsh.

What style of garden is Kelmarsh Hall?

Whilst the gardens have evolved since their 18th century beginnings, much of what is on display now is inspired by Nancy Lancaster. She wanted to bring her shabby chic style out into the gardens, and asked the garden designer, Norah Lindsay, to help her achieve her ideas. From the sunken garden to the herbaceous long border, the garden is designed to lead visitors around the triangular walled garden. Inside this secret space, traditional fruit and vegetables are grown, along with cut flowers and vines. When possible, flowers and produce are available to buy in the Visitor Centre.

What can guests enjoy at Kelmarsh Hall?

The gardens have a long season of interest, including tulips and alliums in April and May, roses in June, the cottage garden perennials in July and the long border in August and September.
