Overview

Hughenden Manor has a rich and varied history. Once the home of Benjamin Disraeli, it was also a covert WWII base that produced maps. Both of these stories are fascinating, and the house and gardens bring them to life.

Where is Hughenden located?

Hughenden Manor is 1½ miles north of High Wycombe and brown tourist signs show the route.

What style of garden is Hughenden?

The gardens were transformed in 1862, to adopt an Italianate style, with terraces, manicured lawns, statuary and a colourful parterre. The walled garden and the pleasure grounds are relaxed, and offer endless opportunities for picnics and play.

What can guests enjoy at Hughenden?

Visitors can learn about the fascinating history behind the mansion, or explore the gardens and parkland. A cafe and gift shop finish off the perfect day.
