Overview

Ascott House as it stands today, gives a false representation of its age. Long, low and gabled, it would appear that its an intensely reestablished Tudor house. Its center is an old farmhouse, thought to date from 1606. The first farmhouse has experienced numerous changes. It was first modestly broadened in 1874 to shape 'Ascott Cottage' however was very quickly extended to make a completely fledged hunting lodge with broad stables, kennels and different outbuildings, before being again additionally augmented to make a generous Edwardian nation house. In 1937–8, it was broadly redesigned when 37 rooms were removed to make the current appearance of an unassuming, meandering old manor.

What style of garden is Ascott?
