Held to promote seaweed for its immense health and nutritional benefits.  Quay kitchens will be serving a variety of dishes, and stalls will be selling a range of seaweed products and arts and crafts.  Plus live music, craft activities and workshops, talks and demonstrations and street entertainments.  Bring your own seaweed for advice from experts on its uses.

Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and discover the art of crafting a beautiful floral arrangement using the freshest spring blooms with local florist the Flower Shop. Wander through the enchanting seasonal gardens of Buckland Manor with an exclusive tour led by our knowledgeable resident gardener, followed by a three-course lunch.

Begin your day with a warm welcome at the manor, where you'll indulge in delightful tea, freshly brewed coffee, and delicious biscuits, followed by a leisurely stroll through the gardens. Afterwards, enjoy a sumptuous lunch crafted from the finest homegrown produce complemented by a glass of wine, and to finish, coffee paired with delightful petit fours, leaving all your senses utterly satisfied.

Celebrate Father's Day with a special treat. Join us for a delightful experience exploring our local casked beers and craft ales paired perfectly with mini pies.

Enjoy a beer flight featuring a range of flavours alongside a taster board of delicious mini pies, each paired to enhance your tasting experience. Treat Dad to a memorable day filled with exceptional brews, delectable bites, and the joy of savouring these delightful pairings together.

The day will be full of fun for all ages and packed with a programme of all sorts of activities, entertainment, and games throughout the day.  Watch the exciting Clovelly Cup yacht race across the bay, starting at 12pm. It is an amazing sight to see the yachts surrounding the harbour and setting off to race across the bay.  Throughout the day there will be live music, Higher being Circus street entertainment, activities and games for the whole family. This includes a workshop with Washhouse Studio and Punch & Judy, plus face paintings and a variety of stalls selling food and event-themed arts & crafts.

We are delighted that renowned garden designer, Tracy Foster, is returning to Stillingfleet Lodge to lead this workshop where you will learn how to create a planting plan for your garden.

If you want to give your garden a makeover, this is the course for you. Learn how to make a planting plan that will turn an ordinary garden into something unique.

During the session you will find out how to:

• measure up your plot
• assess the site and soil
• draw to scale
• develop you plan.

A planting plan is a detailed document or drawing that specifies the arrangement and layout of plants in a particular area, such as a garden, landscape, or outdoor space.

Tracy will be sharing her expertise and tips on plant selection, such as choosing the right plants for your site, and the quantity of plants you will need and how densely they will need to be planted for the effect you want. There will also be consideration of where to place each plant, for instance to provide focal points, and also the seasonality of the plants to give interest throughout the year.

Once you have developed your planting plan, you will be thinking about planting it up and hope that you will be inspired by the many plants we have for sale in our plant nursery.

Tracy is a Chelsea Gold Medal Winning garden designer who has been creating beautiful gardens in the north of England and elsewhere since 2002. She is perhaps best known for ‘The Bronte Garden’ which one her an RHS Gold and the People’s Choice Award at Chelsea in 2012. She was also a awarded an RHS Silver for her ‘Welcome to Yorkshire’ Garden in 2017.

All courses include entry to the garden plus welcome coffee and biscuits. Unless stated,  materials are provided and you will leave each workshop with plenty of reference information.

Our civil ceremony & wedding breakfast rooms will be dressed and will be available to view as well as the luxury Garden Pavilion, outdoor Woodland Pavilion and our beautiful bedrooms & suites!

Experience an exclusive English wine lunch featuring the award winning Devon Vineyard, Sandridge Barton. Join us in our drawing room for an introduction to the vineyard by Tom Wedgery, with a glass of Sharpham sparkling wine and canapés. Served in the oak panel dining room, the exquisite lunch menu, crafted by executive chef, Chris Eden, will be paired with some of the finest wine of the Dart Valley Vineyard.

Come to RHS Garden Wisley early to take advantage of the light for stunning images of the garden through the spring and summer. The garden opens from 8am on various dates. Normal garden admission applies.

Bring the family to Wisley this half term and see the garden in its early summer splendour. There will be planting and daily activity sessions and a family garden trail to follow. Included in normal garden admission.

Join garden owner, Vanessa Cook, in the tearoom and courtyard garden where you can enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles and learn about the development and ethos of the garden. This will be followed by an opportunity for you to have a leisurely wander around the garden, enjoying the many different areas of the garden.
