This follows the more traditional Breakfast consisting of Tom Parker Bowles recommended sausage and proper, dry-cured back and smoked streaky bacon from Sandridge Farm in Wiltshire, fabulous soft textured Clonakilty black and white puddings from southern Ireland, mushrooms and oven-roasted tomatoes. Nearby Somerton has numerous cafes and pubs, all offering a range of food and drinks suit all needs.

Reviews

I stayed in the Wessex room in the Coach House because I was going to bring my dog Rex with me but, decided not to due to his age and the weather report. My room was wonderful with a huge comfy bed and small, but sufficent shower room. I also, had french doors that opened onto an enclosed garden complete with fish pond (Rex would have loved it). The breakfast was a treat suited any taste or dietry requirement. I loved my pot of fresh quality coffee with my poached eggs and the best smoked bacon I've had in simply ages. The toast was artisan bread at it's finest. If you're looking for that touch of luxury in a beautiful old market town in Somerset then look no further, you'll not find better. The wifi connection was fast and consistent so I could do a little work in the evenings. I'll be back with Rex!!!

I stayed for two nights in the Lynch Country House while working in Somerset. Not only was it a pleasant change from a hotel, but was itself quite excellent. The accommodation was very comfortable (I also had the Wessex room in the coach house) and the breakfast was particularly good. The house itself is a fantastic building, full of character inside and out. I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you are looking for a weekend break in Somerset.

A beautiful and welcoming B&B set in fantastic grounds. The rooms are clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. All the staff are wonderful and friendly. I would recommend staying here to business travellers, couples and families alike!

A charming B&B stay with staff with a sunny and helpful attitude. Plenty of fresh fruits and yogurts before a cooked breakfast, to be followed by hot toast and home made preserves. Many local places of interests.

PaulC

Not cheap, but the comparatively high price for a B&B is justified by the high quality on offer. Excellent breakfast, top quality towels and bed linen, very comfortable beds; everything as it should be!
