There are four areas where exhibitions change regularly and the large permanent South Tyneside gallery. Craft activities are held for children during the holidays and the small animal display is always popular. There is a Victorian-style tearoom and there are two room for hire. The interior of the Museum houses a magnificent staircase with an impressive stained glass window backdrop.
