Overview

Discover the Fascinating Sizergh Castle The medieval Sizergh Castle has been the home of the Strickland family for over 750 years. The 14th century tower was extended in Tudor times. It has an exceptional series of oak-panelled interiors with intricately carved chimneypieces and early oak furniture, culminating in the magnificent Inlaid Chamber. On display are collections of family portraits and ceramics that have been amassed over the centuries along with recent photographs. The castle is surrounded by a 1600 acre estate with handsome gardens, two lakes and a particularly imposing limestone rock garden.
