Orchardleigh Bed & Breakfast

I found this boutique style B&B online whilst searching for somewhere to break a journey from Devon to Wiltshire. Having spoken to the owner Kerry, and looking at the website, I was confident I'd found a good option and made a reservation. The house is in a very rural part of the country, flanked by dairy farms and utterly charming. Kerry is very welcoming, chatty and upon entering Orchardleigh you feel immediately at home. You are surrounded with calming decor that highlights Kerry's eye for design and detail and her passion for hosting guests. Our room was cosy and homely, without being cramped and with a spacious separate bathroom a step away from the door. Kerrry and her daughter Milly were so welcoming and even gave us a lift to the footpath to the local pub/restaurant The King's Arms (highly recommended) and picked us up after dinner so we wouldn't have to walk back in the dark. What a service! Breakfast was excellent, fresh coffee, juice, continental style and/or full cooked option - and obviously local high quality produce. I hope to stay at Orchardleigh again, this will be my go-to half way stop for future journeys and I cannot recommend highly enough Kerry and her daughter's faultless hospitality. We arrived at just after 10pm on the Friday of the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Greeted as we pulled up by Kerry and Tatty ( the cutest little poodle ever!) offered a glass of wine was instantly made to feel very at home. From the outset this was to be the new benchmark for B&B experiences- the house newly renovated oozing charm and considered decor. Our bed was super comfy, freshly pressed luxury sheets, coupled with fresh country air set in a peaceful environment meant that a relaxing weekend had been achieved by the Saturday morning. Breakfast was comprehensive, really tasty and Kerry was very accommodating of our dietary requirements very socially experienced - lovely people very honoured to be part of their authentic family life. We will return. Do not consider this to be a B&B it is more a home away from home. The best B&B we have ever stayed in. Thank you Kerry for being an amazing host.

My partner and I were looking for somewhere to stay for the bank holiday weekend as we were travelling down from Sussex for a wedding. We found Orchardleigh on Air B&B and were initial wowed by the photos, description and reviews. Needless to say we were not disappointed. Orchardleigh is an absolutely beautiful property, in a wonderful rural location. The house itself oozes style, space ad comfort. Kerry and her family were wonderful, they were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home within minutes. We were spoilt for choice at breakfast time and the food was delicious. I couldn't recommend this B&B anymore, it ticks all of the boxes.

We had a amazing stay in this wonderful home. Kerry our host, was great, and makes you feel instantly welcome. The house is packed with style a character and you can see in every room how much thought Kerry has put in to decorating with a real flair for interiors. It has a very English feel with a French influence. But still feels like a real home from home. It's the best place to stay and relax with stunning countryside all around. The villages and nearby town of Sherborne have fantastic places to eat, shop and visit. We highly recommend staying here and can't wait to come back soon.
