Overview

Moorhall Farm is a stunning renovated Grade II listed farmhouse, settled in the Worcestershire/Herefordshire border. Only 4 miles outside the market town of Bromyard and on the outskirts of the village of Whitbourne, it is the perfect retreat for those looking for a country escape with a difference. As part of a working farm, there is always something to do and see, with a wide range of animals and activities on offer such as Coarse fishing, and excursions into the wider unspoiled countryside. Moorhall Farm is the perfect venue for that family get together or friends reunion. With an Aga to cook on and fires to light in the lounge it really is a place to entertain and enjoy, and all with the delights of living in the countryside with your friends and family around.

What makes a stay at Moorhall Farm unique?

Originally built in the late 17th Century, Moorhall Farm has been a family home for the Brodie family since 1936 and is still used today as part of the working farm.

What is the capacity for Moorhall Farm?

There are six double bedrooms that can accommodate 12 adults and 4 children. There are one twin or zip and one double bedroom situated on the ground floor, one king-sized bedroom with bunk beds on the first floor, one double bedroom with two single pull-out beds for children on the second floor and on the third floor there are two twin bed bedrooms that can be made into two king-sized bedrooms.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Your hosts Lucy and Stephen, offer cooked dinners for the first night of your stay, and if you require to be catered for on any other nights of your stay, all you need to do is ask. To make a home from home experience, there are many local supermarkets that can deliver or in the nearby town, a beautiful bakery, butchery and a handful of nearby recommended pubs and restaurants.

Fabulous renovated large & interesting farmhouse There were 11 adults in our group and we stayed over the 1st May Bank Holiday for 4 nights. We had not been to this part of the country before and it was truly beautiful, especially the sight of the Malvern Hills as you enter the county. Lucy (the owner) made us feel very special from all the questions we had beforehand right through to the end of our stay. The farmhouse is steeped in history and has been lovingly extended and restored. It is on a main road but there are 2 secure gates and hardly any traffic noise. It is ideally situated for lots of walks & sightseeing. We walked up the Malvern Hills, what a view and had lunch in Malvern. We also visited Ralph Court Gardens. What a secret and wonderful place and good food (we pre-ordered on the day) We also had dinner at the Live and Let Live, Whitbourne one evening (book!) Delicious food and atmosphere! The Landlord gave us a lift back! It's not far but no street lighting at night. Back to the farmhouse, picking up keys was easy (we also ordered eggs from Lucy - the best!). Lots of space, the descriptions of the rooms were accurate. One Aga AND one hob/grill/oven; very large fridge/freezer; dishwasher; basic condiments provided, large table and small table. Linen and hand & bath towels provided. All in all a wonderful weekend in this beautiful farmhouse. It was a very hot weekend when we were there and we spent some time outside on the 'patio'. The cows at the farm are so nice to hear and look at! We hope to stay again! Thanks Lucy!

Amazing - we couldn't have had a better weekend! The house was amazing and Lucy couldn't have been more helpful before and during our stay. The house was well equipped, clean, and tidy, with amazing underfloor heating which was well used during our December stay! The fresh eggs on arrival was also a lovely touch. During our stay Lucy was quick to reply to any messages and questions we had - even at 10:30pm! Over all the 16 of us couldn't have had a better weekend in such an amazing house! Thank you Lucy!

Wonderful A fantastic host - nothing was too much trouble for Lucy, before, during after our visit - from Eggs to local butcher. The house itself is a listed farmhouse extended and done up. Excellent variety of bedrooms set up as you wish. The highlight is without doubt a marvellous through kitchen and lounge where we regularly had all 10 of us together with the warm Aga, comfy sofas and huge table. If you don't like cows it maybe not be for you!!

Birthday weekend we all enjoyed staying at Moorhall Farm last weekend. As a venue for a family get-together it really is ideal. We found it comfortable, warm and homely; everyone slept well and felt the setting was lovely. It was good to be able to get out and do a couple of walks from the farmhouse too. I would thoroughly recommend this venue.
