Towers above the rest I am biased towards Manor House Farm.I`ve been coming here for weekend breaks and longer stays for over 12 years. This place is in my DNA. Whether you`re looking for a base to go walking.going to Alton Towers, or just want peace and quiet, this is the place for you.Chris and Margaret are superb very attentive hosts, who care about your stay and will help you if you need any info about the area.Their breakfasts are ,well. just fantastic and will get you off to a great start, whatever you`re doing. If you fancy a more independent stay ,you can stay in their holiday cottage, which is a stones throw from the main building but is very private. Manor House Farm.Chris and Margaret, tick all my boxes and i cannot recommend this place and them enough !

Stayed at Manor House Farm over the Scarefest weekend at Alton Towers. We were in the family room which has a double bed and a single bed.The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well after wandering around Alton Towers all day.The accommodation is rustic with many bare stone walls wooden roof beams and single pane window glazing.Wood panelling is fixed to many of the walls. This makes for a beautiful location with great character and atmosphere in which to which to stay and relax. And relax we did.The cooked breakfasts were great and both Chris and Margaret were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely look to stay here in the future if we are down that way again.

Jacobean house in the country Stayed at this marvellous B&B in the countryside from Jacobean times. The owner used to be an antique dealer and the whole house is furnished in style with a roaring fire in the hearth to greet guests. The breakfast table had been used for hundreds of years by the looks of it. Chris and Margaret are the perfect hosts and their full English breakfast is to die for. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and slept very well on modern mattresses in old-style four-posters.

Wowzer This is the most underpriced b and b of all time.A hidden gem. It is a gobsmackingly beautiful house with gardens to match [ and hosts who clearly know what they have ] Truly magical. And the breakfast I`m finding it hard to find words so the best thing to do is book a night or 2 and discover for yourselves what a wonderful place it is.
