We have had a wonderful stay, very comfortable ‘annexe’ with a warm welcome and a delicious breakfast. Delicious homemade plum jam! We came for a friend’s wedding but have also had time to explore the beautiful countryside around - apple trees in blossom and sheets of bluebells - and visit Hardy’s cottage. Also very nice to have such spacious accommodation. Thank you so much.

Such a beautiful location, we have really enjoyed staying in the comfortable annexe. Teresa’s breakfasts first class and evening meals at The Marquis of Lorne. Whilst exploring locally we came across a field of lambs. We love this land of Thomas Hardy. Thank you.

This will be one of our most memorable and comfortable stays. The farm accommodation is beautiful and sympathetically maintained, affording our short stay a unique experience of knowing the amazing history of the village by meeting Teresa and the friendly villagers.

Great to get a sense of the surroundings which are beautiful. No doubt 200 years ago when my 'Shiner' ancestors lived here it was a different matter. The hospitality was top notch and I loved the breakfast. It was a great stay. Just what I needed.

A flying visit, thank you for a wonderful stay. It was lovely to have our own space and the kids loved all the toys. Wonderful breakfasts, and a very kind, generous and knowledgeable host.

West Dorset is really a lovely place to stay - lots of things to do and visit. Our hosts were charming, the rooms very comfortable and the breakfasts amazing. Thank you very much.
