This is a beautiful country hotel and is in a quiet relaxing location. On entering the main house it has a wonderful wide staircase up to the first floor with a massive picture window on the landing. The check in was easy and staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We had help with our suitcase and were so pleased with our room, a junior suite. The bedroom was very large overlooking the front of the hotel and grounds beyond. With a super king sized bed and dressing table area and a separate small table and two chairs to sit at. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were like clouds. I was so pleased I went straight on the internet and order some for home. We had a nice big bathroom too. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both were very good and again the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was a buffet choice from cereals, juices and pastries and also a hot selection. As it was a sunny morning some people chose to eat outside on the terrace. As the hotel is set in extensive grounds there are plenty of places to sit or explore outside. The garden chairs were very comfortable and I found it very relaxing looking out into the countryside. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice ambiance and friendly service. We will definitely be coming back. The whole experience was great and I didn't want to leave.

For our 35th Wedding Anniversary I booked an Afternoon Tea at Hartsfield Manor. The friendly staff greeted us and took us to a quiet room overlooking the gardens. Nothing was too much trouble - particularly as I have a nut allergy and was given a separate plate full of delicious cakes, a mini crème brulee and fresh fruit. There were lots of sandwiches freshly made and tasty. Two scones with cream and jam, and a big pot of coffee. They also bought a plate with chocolate writing on it which made us feel very special, with a glass of fizz too. I would certainly recommend this Afternoon Tea. We took home a doggy bag for any leftovers we had. What a treat! I am on crutches and it is worth noting there is a disabled parking space at the front of the hotel.

WOW, such a beautiful hotel, set in peaceful grounds. Easy check in, staff very friendly and pleasant. We stayed in the main house and the room was huge. Very clean, bed comfortable and a lovely view overlooking the garden. We had dinner included in our stay and the food was very good. Excellent service and very relaxed atmosphere. We took our coffee into the lounge, which was spacious and relaxing. Would definitely recommend and stay here again, just wished we stayed for two nights! A beautiful country hotel with excellent service, great value for money. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

My husband and I booked this hotel for a 1 night stay as a base to explore Box Hill and the surrounding area. The staff were very polite, helpful and attentive. We were really pleasantly surprised with our room for the price. Great décor and a stunning view of the grounds. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food was uniformly excellent. This place is a gem and I would be very happy to return here.

The food was great, we have 2 gluten free diners in our party and the chef made an excellent effort to cater. The food and service were excellent and I would definitely recommend a visit. I shall be booking again.
