Overview

Firs Farm B&B is a grade 2 listed farmhouse with stunning views, sitting in a peaceful location, close to Masham in the Nidderdale Area of Natural Beauty in the Yorkshire Dales. Sarah greets you with tea and homemade cakes on arrival and provides breakfast from locally sourced products including eggs from the Farm.

What makes a stay at Firs Farm B & B unique?

The bed and breakfast is a tranquil and beautiful place, a great place to relax, unwind and get away from the rush of everyday life. Guests frequently comment on how quiet it is. Guests have their own entrance, lounge and dining room, where breakfast is cooked to order Bedrooms are individually furnished with unique touches. Lambing takes place in March and guests are very welcome and encouraged to join in Farm life.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Firs Farm B & B?

Firs Farm has 3 bedrooms, 1 super king/twin with en-suite shower and stunning views across the valley. 1 super king/twin with private bathroom across the landing, with bath and separate shower. 1 king-size room with shower en-suite. It is possible to put a camp bed in the super king rooms. All furnished to a high standard. Dressing gown, slippers, and toiletries are provided, as are a large variety of teas and coffee-on a tea tray with a homemade flapjack. Each room has a flat-screen tv and there is a DVD in the lounge.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Ripon area?

Masham the local market town with a variety of events throughout the year, one highlight is the sheep fair. It is home to 2 breweries and a gin distillery where you can make your own. Fountains abbey world heritage site, various castles, market towns, gardens, museums are all close by, as well as many ways to enjoy the outdoors. Artison is where you can try your hand at a new craft. The list is endless.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Firs Farm has a large variety of places to eat, pubs, restaurants, Michelin star to fish and chips and cafes in close proximity. The nearest pub is 1 mile away and many guests walk on a summer evening. Ripon itself has Italian, Chinese cuisine and many cafes.
