From each cottage, there are spectacular views over the hills and mountains. The estate and surrounding area is perfect for walkers and cyclists and there are restaurants within a short drive. The cottages have enclosed gardens or are in wild areas, some by a river or loch. Rare wildlife such as pine marten, otters, eagles and red squirrels can be seen. There are plenty of activities for all interests in the area. A free electric car charger is located in the nearby village, run from Dunalastair Estate's own hydro.

The nine cottages vary in size from a cottage for a couple through cottages for 3, 4, 5 and 6, to a tower house for 8. Two dogs are welcomed for a small charge, and there are plenty of places to walk them. Each cottage has its own unique character and layout.
What can guests enjoy when staying in the Pitlochry area?
Pitlochry and Aberfeldy lie 30 minutes from Dunalastair Estate and have good shopping, a theatre, a cinema, and outdoor activity centres, such as Highland Safaris and Splash. There are historic buildings, beautiful gardens and distilleries to explore. Blair Castle is within easy reach and the House of Bruar too. Cycles can be hired in Pitlochry and landrover safaris around the Loch Rannoch area are run in summer. An ancient forest, the Black Wood of Rannoch, is perfect for dog walking and sighting wildlife.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
There are small general stores in Kinloch, Rannoch and Tummel Bridge, and there are bars in the villages and a small number of restaurants and cafes of excellent quality within reach by car. Pitlochry and Aberfeldy have many independent restaurants and pubs with interesting food.

There are rowing boats on Dunalastair Loch for guests to use for fishing or just exploring, as well as a tennis court with rackets and ball on the estate. Pheasant and partridge shooting for parties, as well as deer stalking, is sometimes available.
