The Booth Museum was established in 1874 by naturalist and authority Edward Thomas Booth. The Victorians were enthusiastic about regular history and Edward Booth's specific intrigue was ornithology, the investigation of flying creatures.

The museum is home to more than half a million specimens and there is natural history literature and data which goes back more than three centuries. Think you know your birds?
