What makes a stay at Berwick Lodge unique?

The hotel is renowned for its award-winning food, personal service and warm, friendly staff. Guests will love the unique bedrooms, each individually named and designed with a Turkish meets English luxuriousness about them.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Berwick Lodge?

Berwick Lodge has 12 rooms and suites in the main hotel, as well as 2 further bedrooms in the adjacent 'Mews' building. All rooms are individually designed and named after ancient civilisations in the Anatolian period - a subject close to Turkish owner, Fevzi's, heart. All rooms are furnished to a high standard and include bathrooms to die for! The sizable suites boast free-standing slipper baths, walk-in showers and his and hers vanity units, all beautifully adorned with Turkish tiling. Berwick Lodge is proud to provide guests with luxurious Bramley products, produced locally in Somerset. Free WiFi is available in all the rooms, and electric car charging points are available at an additional cost.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Bristol area?

The vibrant city of Bristol is just 8 miles away, where guests will find an array of unique eateries, Banksy art, museums and a bustling harbourside. Over the summer there are a number of live events and festivals in Bristol - usually food related! - one to mention is, of course, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta which has seen visitors from all over the world in August, for the last 40 years. A little closer to Berwick is the home of Brunel's suspension bridge and upmarket area of Clifton, offering boutique and independent shops, restaurants and parkland. Large shopping mall Cribbs Causeway is a very short distance away, for shopping trips.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are all served at Berwick Lodge, with menus changing seasonally. Restaurant, Hattusa, has been awarded 2 AA rosettes for its delicious and creative dining experience. The a la carte menu is regularly complimented by fresh ingredients grown in their own kitchen garden, and beef sourced from the farm next door. There are a number of high street restaurants in nearby Cribbs Causeway, as well as a huge selection of independent restaurants in Clifton or central Bristol.

Berwick Lodge; well, where to start? Firstly, what a fantastic building, extremely comfortable surroundings, great rooms, amazing food, very comfortable beds and bedding, exceptional tea and coffee in the rooms, fantastic bathrooms, first class breakfast but the reality of Berwick Lodge is something far more simple….I stay in hotels typically three or four nights a week and whilst all of the above points are really, really important to me, the single most important reason why I believe Berwick Lodge is the best hotel in the area and beyond is the people. Most businesses lose track of what is key to their customers but Berwick is different, the staff aren't just friendly, reliable and polite, they consistently go the extra mile, what I mean by this is they take customer service to a new level, I work with hundreds of businesses, some small, some multinationals but I truly believe all of these businesses could learn from the team or should I say the family at Berwick Lodge. If you are looking to stay in the area, don't look anywhere else, you will be delighted you did.

When it came to meeting some friends from France for a long overdue get-together, Berwick Lodge (which we have been to before) was an obvious choice. Our guests were awestruck by their magnificent room, we just knew ours was going to be something special. The staff are a delight and so obliging. The owner, Sarah, could not be more welcoming or enthusiastic as she saw that we were met with afternoon tea and scones. We ate in the Hatussa restaurant and that was sublime. Quiet and understated, a delightful ambience. My partner raved about her sea bass starter and the plaice. We carnivores indulged in the most mouth- watering local pheasant. Considering the standard of food, it is remarkably good value for money and it can't be too long before it gets greater national recognition. All in all, a delight! Can't wait to return.

Stopped for one night between Xmas and New Year in the fantastic room Lydia. Berwick Lodge is accessed via a mile long track that passes over the M5. Reception was professional yet friendly and welcoming. We had home-made cookies in our room on arrival and the china cups for tea and coffee were a nice touch. Our room, Lydia, was enormous with a huge bed and floor to ceiling windows and an amazing bathroom - it felt very glamorous yet remained homely and comfortable. We had the 3-course a-la-carte menu in the evening which was really nice and the waitress was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was equally delicious. All in all, perhaps the best hotel I've stopped in - you felt pampered and welcomed yet it remained 'real' and friendly. Thank you :)!

My wife and I have stayed a few times at this boutique style hotel and I can honestly say that the beds are so amazing, not only to look at but also to sleep in. You are guaranteed a good nights sleep! All the feature rooms are uniquely furnished, each with there own twist. The staff are always charming and a delight to deal with. This little hotel is ideal for couples or small groups seeking out somewhere different for a special occasion

We recently booked our company Christmas party in the Mews building at Berwick Lodge, all thirty in our group complimented the food which was amazing and served with such efficiency, all of the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Several of our group stayed in the Hotel overnight, we all loved the rooms and Breakfast. overall this is the best Christmas party experience we have had.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time at Berwick Lodge! The room was amazing and the food…wow, it was absolutely delicious and the presentation was outstanding. Jean-Sebastian was so helpful, knowledgeable and passionate when talking about which wine to choose, we ended up matching a glass of wine to each course and it was perfect.

Recent return to Berwick Lodge after our wedding there 6 years ago. Beautiful hotel and the loveliest staff. We enjoyed a great night with Carol Singers before the best meal in the restaurant. Our room was lovely with a great view. We have a real soft spot for this hotel and will be returning for sure

I can't rave about this hotel enough. The staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. The room I stayed in was superb, the bathroom was lovely and clean. But the real treat was the food and wine. It deserves the awards it has now and in the future. I'll be back!

My wife and I had a very nice stay at Berwick Lodge. The room was spacious and comfortable, the food excellent and the service was superb. We would definately visit again and will be recommending it to any friends visiting Bristol.
