Overview

Follow in the strides of sovereignty and visit one of the last incredible Jacobean houses to be built. Aston Hall is an eminent seventeenth century red-brick mansion arranged in a beautiful open park on the north side of Birmingham.

What is the history of Aston Hall to the present day?

Constucted somewhere in the range of 1618 and 1635 for Sir Thomas Holte and home to James Watt Junior from 1817-1848, Aston Hall is saturated with history.

Presently an grade I recorded structure, the lobby is reestablished to its previous Jacobean quality and is tremendously well known with guests of all ages.

Stroll through the staggering insides and see the home that got sovereignty, was attacked during the English Civil War and propelled an authour.

It is a while (several years) since I visited Aston Hall as we are no longer in the area, but used to live fairly close by and it is a jewel in Birmingham's crown- well worth a visit! I was particularly interested in the cannon ball damage to the main staircase - from the civil war! (The cannon ball was still there if my memory serves me correctly!) I hope it is still as good as when I visited
