Overview

If you're looking for the perfect Bed & Breakfast for a romantic break, why not stay at Walford Court B&B? Tucked into private grounds where streams flow by and fields stretch out as far as the eye can see, Walford Court in Ludlow revels in its 500-year-old spot, (where little much has changed over time). Outstanding food, spectacular scenery, excellent walking and cycling routes and numerous historical sights and tourist sights all make it a true treasure in the countryside. This charming old house provides the atmosphere and ambience to have a relaxing break – the romance is down to you!

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Walford Court?

Step inside to characterful interiors and pick from two suites, both featuring relaxing beamed lounges with separate bedrooms and gorgeous roll-top baths. For a royal welcome ask for the Aragon Suite where a four-poster promises the most sumptuous of sleeps.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Ludlow area?

Walford Court B&B is located in a small hamlet about 1 mile from the old village of Leintwardine, known as Bravonium in the Roman Times. The River Teme runs through the village, which is essentially English, featuring many local amenities, including a prospering school, a wonderful church, two restaurants, an old parlour pub, swimming in the river and an award-winning butcher who plays an important role in Walford Court's breakfast! Just  8 miles away from Ludlow. You can experience a variety of breathtaking views - Walford Court is on the border of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Wales.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Owners Debbie and Craig know good food: find homemade sweet treats like muffins on arrival and enjoy yummy eggs from the hens roosting outside and sausages and bacon from the butcher down the road.

Our stay at Walford Court was fantastic. I booked the courthouse suite for me and my partner to relax in style for his 40th birthday. It did not fail us! We both have not relaxed so well in ages. The room was luxurious, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the breakfast and room feasts we're sumptuous and delicious. Craig and Debbie create a wonderful atmosphere which is warm and welcoming whilst allowing us privacy and the time you enjoy the wonderful surroundings. We wanted for nothing and couldn't of asked for more, for a very special weekend! We hope to return!

We had a splendid two nights at Walford Court which is well located to see the best of Shropshire, although (as ever with this beautiful part of the country) one does need a car to make the most of it. The room was very comfortable and beautifully, characterfully, furnished. The breakfast was fantastic, with much homegrown/homemade produce. Would recommend to anyone for a weekend break, or for a full week - there is plenty to see in the area and a great deal of beautiful walking to be done. Worth every penny and more.

We have been here for 6 nights in the Courthouse Suite. What a comfortable suite. WE had a bedroom and a comfortable sitting room including our own bathroom. And what can we say about the breakfasts we had. Never had such nice bacon and sausages. And besides that fresh fruit and yoghurt every morning. We come from Holland and regular visit B&B's in England, but Walford Court is the best place we have ever been. Fabulous.

Excellent accommodation, surroundings and Debbie and Craig were excellent hosts and could not do enough for you. We stayed there on two occasions in June and we are returning again in July. We stayed in the Court House and the Aragon Suite. Very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and we are looking forward to returning later this month. This will be the 3rd time in 2 months.

An excellent place to stay. We were very warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. The suite we stayed in was very comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed a meal on our first evening which we had pre-booked and had excellent breakfasts (including eggs from the resident hens). We would highly recommend.

Peaceful isolation, idyllic property yet well connected with amenities nearby. A very warm welcome - tea on the lawn too. Splendid characterful room with many thoughtful touches - homemade muffins, fresh snacks and a really nice selection of teas. Splendid breakfasts too.

We received a very warm and friendly welcome from Craig and Debbie at Walford Court. Nothing was too much trouble and they catered for our complex dietary needs brilliantly. Delightful old house in beautiful setting.
