Summary

The Boathouse is a stunning B&B and country pub and restaurant, sitting on the banks of Ormesby Broad, and surrounded by more than ten acres of glorious parkland. Recently refurbished, The Boathouse offers luxury accommodation, with spectacular views and the chance to glimpse wildlife from the windows.

What makes a stay at The Boathouse unique?

The location and high quality of the furnishings and finishes of the rooms, lodges and the pub and restaurant make The Boathouse unique. The views are simply stunning, making for a perfect relaxing treat, but with easy access to the bustling towns of Great Yarmouth and Norwich.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at The Boathouse?

Choose from luxury B&B in the main building or stay in one of the woodland lodges. All rooms have king-sized beds and are ensuite, being finished to the highest standard, with all those extra touches to make your stay special. Family rooms are also available and the lodges sleep up to 8 people. All but one of the lodges have full-sized kitchens, and that one has a kitchenette only, and all have seating and eating areas. The lodges and some of the bedrooms have far-reaching views of the beautiful broad.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Great Yarmouth area?

The Boathouse is conveniently situated for exploring the fine city of Norwich, or for a family trip to Great Yarmouth, with its extensive sandy beaches and numerous attractions. The beautiful Norfolk Broads are nearby, with numerous boat hire outlets, as well as boat trips on offer. The Boathouse's sister business, the Waterside, less than a mile away, is a waterside café with terrace seating on the Broad, and it also offers boat hire, boat tours and afternoon teas.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

At the Boathouse, there is a bar and restaurant (no food Mondays) serving pub classics with a twist and gastro specials. The bar and restaurant are open to non-residents and the chefs pride themselves on serving fine freshly-prepared food using the best seasonal ingredients when available. On Sundays, a popular carvery is available at lunch times. Table booking is recommended at all times to avoid disappointment.
