Overview

The White House is a gem, tucked away in rolling farmland on the North Norfolk Coast. Offering the chic style and luxury of a boutique hotel in a peaceful, relaxed setting, scrumptious breakfasts and the whole house to enjoy - all you have to do is put your feet up and pour yourself a drink from the honesty bar.

What makes a stay at The White House unique?

As soon as you enter the White House, you are met with an air of calm. The lush reception rooms have rich colours, sumptuous velvet sofas, specially commissioned work by Norfolk artists and light streaming in through huge windows. Book a room for the night and the house is yours to enjoy. Light the fire or fling the doors open and head out to the walled garden, pour yourself a drink, put your feet up and unwind. Each tranquil bedroom is individually decorated. There's also a delectable breakfast buffet spread, absolutely worth getting up for and a scrumptious choice of locally sourced, chef cooked breakfasts.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Burnham Market area?

Located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The White House is very close to the wild and wonderful North Norfolk Coast with it's miles and miles of beautiful and really unspoiled beaches and marshes. There are cosy pubs, fresh fish and chips and charming seaside villages along the coast. Burnham Market is a buzzy Georgian market town with a diddy village green and stacks of independent shops and restaurants serving up delicious local produce. Holkham, Houghton and Sandringham Estates are all very close and offer everthing from Beach Cafes to Royal spotting to Damien Hirst art exhibitions.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

There is a great range of independent, chef/proprietor local pubs, cafes and restaurants near the White House. A few standouts include: The Duck Inn in Stanhoe, North Street Bistro in Burnham Market, Socius in Burnham Market, Titchwell Manor Hotel in Titchwell, Eric's Fish and Chips in Thornham and The Hero in Burnham overy Staithe.

To wake up in the morning to the sound of horses hooves heading out on their morning hack is a perfect alarm call. We loved everything that The White House had to offer.....fantastic staff, great location, delicious breakfast, beautifully clean and decorated bedroom and excellent value for money. We will be back.

Juliar

Absolutely brilliant. A B&B where outside breakfast and checking in you're left to your own devices. We played board games in front of the fire and it felt like we had our own country house for the night.
