Sudbury is an ancient market town in Suffolk which is surrounded by lovely countryside which was often painted by Constable and Gainsborough. A statue of Thomas Gainsborough overlooks the market place and there are many fine buildings in Market Hill. The meadows around Sudbury are ideal for walking and picnicking. It is also worth noting that parking in Sudbury is free which must be a bonus for visitors.
