The town of Royston in Hertfordshire lies at the crosssing of two Roman roads, Ermin street and Ickenfield way. It is located 43 miles North from central London in a rural area bordering on the nearby county of Cambridgeshire. It is a small market town with only light industry. It is worth visiting the Royston Cave which is said to have been used by the Knights Templar in the 13th Century.
