The Gloucestershire village of Prestbury near Cheltenham has many attractive houses, some with thatched roofs. It is surrounded by Cleeve Hill with stunning views over the whole area, from which on a clear day it is possible to see across to Wales. The hill and common provide great places to walk. Prestbury is home to Cheltenham Racecourse which hosts the famous Gold Cup race in March. The village is also said to be one of the most haunted in England.
