The town of Haddington lies on the Great North Road and originally served as a gateway to Edinburgh, now bypassed by the A1. With a history dating back to 1000AD this town has had a rich and varied history. The town centre consists of a High Street and Market Street with a wealth of narrow lanes and alleys. The Town House spire built in 1742 dominates the skyline.
