Campbeltown is one of the largest towns in Argyll and is sheltered by Davaar island which can be reached at low tide via a mile long causeway. The harbour is busy with leisure craft and a few fishing boats. The area is good for sailing, fishing and surfing, plus excellent walking in the surrounding countryside. There are a number of guest houses and B & B's in the town as well as pubs and cafes.
