The market town of Beverley is in the East Riding of Yorkshire and has a striking Minster which is regarded as one of the most impressive in England. The town has plenty of good quality shops, retaurants, cafes and pubs. Twice a week a market is held and just out of the town is Beverley Racecourse which holds regular flat race meetings. The Westwood is a grass common area near the town and is popular with walkers, and for picnics.
