Beetham in Cumbria lies in an area of outstanding natural beauth on the River Bela famous for ist brown trout. It is not far from the Lake District. The local church of St Michael and All Angels dates back to the 12th century and the remains of Beetham Hall from the 14th century. There is a foothpath from the village to the nearby Beetham Fell which leads to the Fairy Steps and natural staircase in limestone.
