The market town of Beccles in Suffolk lies in the Waveney Valley a popular boating area of the Broads. The towns landscape is dominated by a detached 16th Century bell tower which is 97ft tall. Nearby is Beccles airfield which is used mainly by light aircraft and has a pilot training centre.
