The market town of Powys is one of the preserved counties in Wales, named after the Kingdom of Powys which was a Welsh successor state. It offers many activities such as walking, cycling and even horse riding. There are a number of places offering B&Bs, House farm and self-catering cottages along with eating places, cafes and pubs, offering something for everyone.
