Overview
Rose Cottage is a 19th century property restored and extended over the last few years by the current owners taking care to incorporate traditional features. The room is upstairs in the extension completed in 2010. It has a double aspect giving views of the surrounding fields and wonderful sunsets. It is furnished to a high standard with luxury carpets, curtains and traditional yew wood furniture. The large recently added conservatory is where breakfast is served and where guests can relax at the end of a busy day. There is a wide choice for breakfast - always a selection of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, etc and Aga-cooked fayre from a full English to local kippers - served with toast from home-made breads and selection of teas and coffees.
Reviews
We found Rose Cottage excellent in every way and highly recommend it:-
We spent six nights from 10th to 16th August whilst driving around the Suffolk/Norfolk region and thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Jenny and her family. It makes such a difference when not only is the accommodation/breakfast excellent but the people you are staying with are so friendly and caring. The room is exactly as described with a good sized en-suite shower room and very comfortable bed and has a very homely feeling. Every evening we returned to a room which was as clean and fresh as when we first arrived. The cleanliness and attention to detail puts many so called luxury hotel rooms we have stayed in to shame! Breakfast is superb with an excellent selection of cereals and fresh fruits with yoghurt or milk followed by freshly Aga cooked breakfast all from local produce, eggs from Jenny's own chickens and home baked bread. Jenny has was very helpful with places to visit and excellent directions of how to get there and where applicable the best place to park.

Location was quiet and peaceful. First class room, breakfast and service. Facilities excellent and attention to detail really good. The proprietor was very helpful and willing to talk or not as we preferred. She was very friendly and considerate. Excellent overall. Location convenient for many attractions.

Stayed here for Latitude Festival. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and cared for with quality fittings, shower and facilities. Attention to detail and excellent breakfast presented delightfully in conservatory. Highly recommended

We've stayed at many UK B&B's over the years and this has to be the best! We arrived as strangers and departed, we feel. as friends. Lovely accommodation, spotlessly clean, and excellent food. A really great place to visit. Thanks!

Lovely rural location but close to many local places of interest. Warm and welcoming, very comfortable and excellent breakfast. En-suite shower and toilet might be tight for some. Room is upstairs- no lift. Highly recommended.
