Guests enjoy the beautiful decor and its modern facilities. The inspiration for the interior decor comes from nature, a botanical theme runs through the house with leafy green plants in abundance. The rooms have a flora and fauna theme, with exposed stone walls in the bedrooms. Intricate details have been restored from old photographs of the house such as decorative barge boards and window details. Local products are supported here - all mattresses are hand made locally from Dartmoor wool fillings. Natural Handmade soaps in the rooms and Honey from the onsite bee hive is served on the breakfast buffet. Lydford House has 12 ensuite rooms, of which 2 are family rooms and 1 is a twin. The remaining are a mixture of Standard and Superior rooms. Lydford House has one Superior Suite with kitchenette and lounge area. All rooms are finished to a very high standard. Each room is equipped with a hair drier, tea tray and flat- screen TV.

Located in the idyllic and historic village of Lydford, with its castle ruins and numerous sites of historical interest in the village itself. Only 15 minutes walk from the National Trusts Lydford Gorge and with access directly onto Route 27 Illfracombe to Plymouth guests have plenty of choice right on the doorstep.
On the edge of Dartmoor National Park Lydford House makes a great base for exploring Dartmoor as well as Devon and North Cornwall. 45 mins from The Eden Project and Heligan Gardens.
