Review of Hill Farm House

We have been visiting Hill Farm for the past 15 years and the standard has always been absolutely outstanding. The rooms are on par with a 5 star hotel. Seats and tables provided outside rooms in such wonderful countryside surroundings. We tried in the early days to find something that James and Vanessa had hadn't provided for our convenience, but to no avail! In fact, you could arrive with nothing but the clothes you need and everything else would be waiting for you. In fact, I am sure James and Vanessa would be able to provide them for you, if given the appropriate sizes! Nothing is too much trouble! Information file was absolutely invaluable! The Dorchester, London would be hard pressed to beat the service and ambiance!

From the minute you arrive the hospitality shown by James and Vanessa is second to none. The rooms are of 5 star standard with everything you could possibly need and much more, so much more! Every required cutlery, milk, water, tea, coffee (including decaffeinated) chocolate bars, hot chocolate - iced glasses and cooled glasses in fridge/freezer! Hairdryer, fan, extra pillows, extra towels. In fact everything you could ever think of. The rooms are luxurious and spotless. Outstanding value for money!

Hill Farm House is a most charming B&B. We got a warm welcome and was pleased to find a couple of bottles of sparkling water, fresh milk and some chocolate in the fridge - it all adds to the feeling of beeing taken good care of. The host is very helpful and gave great recommendations on places to visit and where to eat. The rooms are quite large, very clean and lovely. It's possible to make coffee or tea and the area is just beautiful. Lovely breakfast - well cooked full English!

Accommodation was roomy and first rate located in beautiful countryside. Hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. No time restrictions on use of the rooms. All in all very good value and excellent stay.

Hill Farm House is a small Bed and Breakfast about 10 minutes south of Bromsgrove and during the past twelve months we have stayed there several times and have always received the same excellent level of service. Our rooms have always been clean, warm and comfortable, with the suite rooms being especially spacious.

We have mainly been able to book one of the two suite rooms – each of these is entered via a small lounge area with a service area with fridge (stocked with proper milk) and small sink unit. This is a perfect area to make a cuppa using the complimentary teas and coffee with the fresh milk. All the bedrooms are spacious and well equipped with a comfy bed draped with quality linen, the décor and use of existing timbers give all the bedrooms a wonderful atmosphere. This warm timber effect is carried through into the bathrooms all being fitted with good sized baths and with a plentiful supply of hot water to the showers over the bath. The bathroom seems to benefit from under floor heating but all the rooms were so warm and cosy throughout.

Being tired of the poor quality of Buffet style breakfast, served at most of the bigger hotels our search for a real breakfast was the main reason we searched the internet and found Hill Farm House. Breakfast is served across the way in the old farmhouse and some of the tables have wonderful views across the Worcestershire Countryside. There is a good selection of cereals, fruit and yogurts etc but the “piece de resistance” is having your bacon eggs tomato etc cooked to your requirements. James has your breakfast cooked and on the table just as you are ready for it and it’s out of this world to the buffet style, kept hot food (which is an insult to the life of the pig and chicken) served in many of the larger establishments today.

Although we have spent most of our time visiting a relative, we have enjoyed dining at large selection of local hostelries and exploring the Worcestershire Countryside, Stratford, and the Malvern’s etc. Oh! there seems so much to do, I only hope there is still a room left for our next visit. Having run our own B&B for 15 years in Cumbria we know and appreciate the effort James and Vanessa put in to maintain this wonderful retreat.

Our second visit - excellent in every way. Spotlessly clean with very good breakfast. The owner couldn't have been more helpful suggesting visits etc. We were recommended ourselves and would certainly make a return visit.

We highly recommend Hill Farm House. We have thouroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very peaceful surroundings, close to the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-
Avon and the Red Hart Bar and Restaurant.
We were well looked after by James.
Our room was large and comfortable and Ensuite modern and spotless.
