Great Field Farm has always prided itself on being very eco-friendly, 5 units are solar powered, 3 also benefit from ground source heat pumps and heat recovery and ventilation systems. Newly constructed to Passiv house standards is Bumble Barn, with smart technology and a sedum roof.
The views and access over the surrounding countryside are breathtaking with a huge diversity of flora and fauna on the doorstep, with tracks and paths through woods and fields.
Easily accessible from the B2068 Canterbury road from the M20. Ample off road parking available. Canterbury, Hythe, Folkestone and Channel Tunnel are about 15 minutes drive. Ashford and Dover 20 minutes. Stelling Minnis has an excellent shop. post office and pub about 1.5 miles.

Bumble Barn - a detached eco-barn, all on the ground floor, with a large open plan sitting room/ dining/kitchen. 3 bedrooms - a king double with en-suite shower and 2 twin bedrooms with a shared bathroom/shower. With infra-red underfloor heating and triple glazing
Sunset Lodge - 2 ground floor bedrooms, a double with wetroom and a twin with bathroom, with 2 more beds in the upstairs snug. Open plan sitting/dining/kitchen
Apple and Hazel Barns - again all on the ground floor, each has 2 en-suite bedrooms, each with a king double, Apple Barn with a triple and Hazel Barn with a twin room,and large open plan sitting/dining/kitchen areas.
The Cottage - twin bedroom, bathroom and sitting room with private entrance.
Can you suggest any activities or things to do while staying in the Canterbury area?
Canterbury offers so much choice in historic buildings as well as the famous Cathedral: The Beaney houses a wonderful free museum with visiting exhibitions. There are enchanting river trips, tours of the city, the Canterbury Tales is informative and fun, and the Marlowe Theatre has many national touring shows. "Escape Kent" is ranked as No1 activity on Tripadvisor.
Folkestone has fantastic free adventure playgrounds, sandy beaches and lots of events during the summer..
The Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is a delightful way to explore the coast round to Dungerness and the RSPB reserve.
Ashford provides a fast train to London - 35 minutes and has the Designer Shopping Outlet.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
A full English breakfast with local produce is served in the farmhouse, but because of limitations on space the alternative is a DIY continental breakfast in your accommodation or full self catering.
There are many local pubs and Canterbury has plenty of restaurants. The George Inn is the nearest pub, about 500 metres, so easily in walking distance. The Rose & Crown in Stelling Minnis is very popular and the food is plentiful and good value. The Bowl Inn at Hastingleigh has won the CAMRA award for best local pub for 3 years running and serves local Kentish beers.
