After a long and busy trip to Cornwall, we decided to split our journey back to Brighton and stop off in Dorset. We booked last minute which was no problem and met my parents there too. We were greeted by Ian who was charming, welcoming and very friendly. I've had some uncomfortable experiences in B&Bs but I can happily say that this was the best experience I've had. We soon met Wendy who was equally warm and lovely! They showed us our rooms which were done to a high, modern standard and every attention was made to make them impressive and in no way fussy. The cottage is absolutely beautiful inside and out, and it felt very special staying here. Ian booked us into the pub, which was through the immaculate and stunning garden and couldn't have been more conveniently placed after a long drive! We had a chat to Ian and Wendy before our booked dinner, who were interesting and lively but not at all invasive. We all went to the pub, which couldn't have been a better atmosphere and representation of rural life. The next morning we had a super breakfast, Wendy had hand picked the fruit from the garden, which included rhubarb and made a wonderful breakfast spread. All healthy, filling and delicious. Ian made the cooked breakfast and they both took care and listened to each request and fulfilled them. The rooms both had ensuite bathrooms, which were brilliant, clean and one had a great power shower. To summarise, it really was a treat, a wonderful discovery, and somewhere where a happy memory was made. I will definitely be going there again and I couldn't recommend this B&B enough, you'd be silly not to enjoy a trip here!

After a very fraught search for a weekend break in Dorset found Fullers Earth and what a find! A very warm, friendly welcome from owners Ian and Wendy with home made cake and tea on arrival. Fullers Earth is a lovely Georgian house in a peaceful village setting with a good food pub a very short stroll away. Our bedroom was large, bright, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. Ian and Wendy are fonts of knowledge on where to go, what to see, best pubs and are only too happy to share this info, with maps and booklets available to borrow. They both made us so welcome and only wish we could have stayed longer than our two nights. A truly lovely bed & breakfast.

Our stay in Fullers Earth was first class in every sense.; beautiful house, garden and above all, hosts. We were warmly welcomed by Wendy together with delicious banana cake and tea in our own living room. Cosy bedroom and comfy bed. An excellent traditional pub with good food beer and wines just through the garden gate. We loved our breakfasts and these were the best. Fruits from the garden, homemade preservers and marmalade, Dorset Cereal, locally baked loved bread and full English cooked in the Aga. Together with tips from Wendy and Ian regarding our plans we were perfectly set up for the day. Thanks a million for a wonderful few days.

Can't fault it. This was a great experience and a very fortunate find. Everything was done well from the welcome, to the bedroom, to a delicious breakfast and to really good guidance on how to plan our day. Impeccably set-up and organised. It's comfortably in my top half dozen B&Bs and I've stayed at hundreds!

Good points: Situation, quiet country land in friendly village. Accommodation, spacious rooms in gracious house. Food, much is home-grown and home-made. Best points: Superbly friendly host and hostess who encouraged us to come and go as we pleased, just like home!

Perfect bedroom with comfortable bed and excellent linen. Good bathroom with view of church spire! Lovely decor but most important, The Grregory's, are exceptional hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. Easy parking. Beautiful garden.
