Overview

Fasbourn Hall is a fifteenth century manor house with later additions, set in 26 acres of garden and meadow in the peaceful Suffolk countryside. The three historic bedrooms, all en-suite, offer exceptional levels of comfort and style, enabling guests on both business and leisure to relax and enjoy all that the area has to offer. Summer evenings can be spent enjoying the moated gardens, opening out from the oak-panelled main hall, whilst in the winter there's no better setting for cosy relaxation in front of roaring log fires. Whilst the setting is quiet and rural, Fasbourn Hall has excellent links to London, the Midlands and North via the A14 or Stowmarket rail station, both only ten minutes away. London Stansted airport is about one hour, Harwich for ferries about 40 minutes. At the heart of beautiful mid-Suffolk, the hall is centrally located for visiting the many attractions of East Anglia including nearby Lavenham, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Cambridge and the Suffolk heritage coast.

Yes Comments about this property Beautiful place, quiet area perfect for a relaxing and romantic weekend. The owners are lovely, very friendly and very kind. The house is amazing, so grand and beautiful. The house was very clean and there was a lot of attention to detail in every room. The breakfast was so delicious, what a great cook and fantastic ingredients.Love to go again as i very enjoyed my stay and i would recommend it to everyone. Nicky and Clive are the loveliest people i have met, very generous and kind. I was upgraded room for free and prosecco in the room as it was my boyfriend's birthday. They have made our stay even better by making us feel very welcome and comfortable. Best romantic weekend i have ever had thanks to Fasbourn Hall.

Location Cleanliness Facilities Service / Staff 4 - Good 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent Would you recommend this property to other travellers? Yes Comments about this property Wonderful hosts. Friendly, helpful yet not overbearing. Coffee and homemade cake on arrival was a nice touch and greatly appreciated after driving. Excellent room, incredibly comfortable bed and superior linen. Coffee machine, kettle, biscuits and CHOCOLATES! Additional items included a blanket, fan heater and iron. Outside the room a mini fridge with complimentary fruit juice, mineral water, milk and health bars. Breakfast would feed the 500. Absolutely nothing to complain about. We shall return! Tips for other travellers Local pubs close on a Monday evening. Others are a bit of a drive away but plenty of advice on hand from ever helpful Clive or super friendly Nicky. Easy driving distance to wonderful Lavenham.

Location Cleanliness Facilities Service / Staff 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent We had a wonderful time. Nicky and Clive could not have been more helpful and friendly. The beds were beautifully comfy - very important - and the breakfast was great! Fasbourn Hall was a delightful place to stay and we hope to go back next year! Tips for other travelers The River Bistro in Stowmarket was very good - especially as we had the midweek deal of two courses for what seemed a very low set price considering the high quality of the meal! Take an ordnance map and explore the footpaths around the Hall if you like walking.

Yes Comments about this property Clive and nicky were wonderful host nothing was a bother to them and they looked after us well. Friendly and made you feel important in every way. Engaged in our conversations and listened. They run a wonderful B&B and every detail in the Hall was perfect. Will return to stay again in the future. Tips for other travellers Lavenham and Long Melford are close by which was good to explore and Stowmarket had nice places to eat also.

Location Cleanliness Facilities Service / Staff 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent We were made most welcome to their cosy home by Clive & Nicky. The flickering fire in the hall, in front of a sofa to flop into was a delight while the bed & bedroom were extremely comfortable, with all facilities. We were treated to locally sourced ingredients for breakfast & directed to some very nice pubs & restaurants for other meals. The peace & quiet of Fasbourn Hall is awesome & the only movement outside is that of the trio of placid geese feasting on the grass! Loved it
