This is our second stay at the Brambles and as always, Claire and Mikes warm welcome and hospitality was exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble and the rooms are comfortable with lovely extra touches that would be provided in a high end hotel. The complimentary cake really is a special extra.
Thank you Claire and Mike for another wonderful stay.

Comments about this property
Fantastic hosts with a wonderful property. Claire and Mike go out of their way to make you feel welcome and special. Everything about Brambles is so great...the house, the room, the bathroom, the bed, the towels, the dining room, the garden, the evening platters, the breakfast, the welcome cake!! Everything about Brambles oozes attention to detail and pride in what they do. Claire and Mike really know how to look after people!
Tips for other travellers
Dover is quite close for visiting the White Cliffs and the Castle. We enjoyed the town of Sandwich where we stayed for dinner and had a great meal at the Hop and Hufkin.

Fabulous accommodation, well worth a rating of more than five. The room was beautiful and very clean. It was nice to have different options at breakfast, and the cheese and meat platter on offer for an evening meal was nice and tasty.

I highly recommend this B&B for several reasons. Firstly, it is just a very nice place with very sweet people running it. Secondly, it offers everything a tired traveler needs, its clean and well kept with a lovely atmosphere. They offer a wonderful dinner for a very reasonable price and they are open to special wishes within reason. We haven't yet stayed at a B&B what could measure up to this place, be it England or Denmark.

This is more than a b&b Mike and Clare made us the most comfortable stay at their fabulous house. We stayed here on the 16 July. All the amenities were second to none, including filtered water in our room for our kettle together with fresh milk and bottled water in our fridge and the complementary homemade lemon drizzle cake was just amazing. The choice for breakfast was superb giving us fresh local produce. The only downside my wife and I had was we only booked for one night.
We will definitely return.

A couple of nice local pubs. Great small village to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and larger towns.

This was our first visit to the Brambles, but we will definitely go back to stay. The owners were very happy and considerate. The accommodation is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious, especially the gluten free pancakes.
Enjoy.

Mike and Clair are the consummate hosts. Breakfast is prepared with fresh locally sourced fruits, bread and eggs. The rooms are large, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. We highly recommend Brambles for short or extended stays. We spent four days there and were sorry to have to leave.

Everything you would expect from and B and B but so much more. So much thought had gone into everything and lots of little extra touches which were so nice. The breakfast menu was great, just wish we had a couple more days there to work out way though it. Absolutely spotless. You can also use the garden and lounge. Mike and Claire are very welcoming and would recommend this to everyone.
Tips for other travellers
The Bohemian in Deal was very good pub and food.
The Wrong Turn (micro brewery) was very quirky.

Our stay at the Brambles is one of two stops along a month long trek from Montenegro to England that we keep revisiting with friends and family. My husband and I only spent two nights, but Claire and Mike treated us as lifelong friends.
Mike is becoming an an accomplished bell ringer. You will need to visit this place to see for yourself.
Claire is a remarkable cook, and gracious host. Per her suggestion, she made dinner reservations for us in Sandwich, a really lovely village nearby. Mike even offered to drop us off since we arrived without a vehicle.

Claire and Mike are fiercely competitive cooks. I sense the competition is what drives the amazingly delicious meals over the top! Keep it up you two!

At dinner one night I sat down to a plate of food so beautiful I didn’t want to eat until I went back to our suite to grab my camera.

There were two other couples we met during our stay with great tales of travel. One couple had been traveling in a Morgan for a while. They had to return home as they ran out of room for their luggage. It almost reminded me of a clown car with every nook and cranny full of luggage.

Sorry for the dissertation, but the time we spent at this B&B will resonate as one of the best experiences in my travels. Overall, our enjoyable experience boils down to the charm of the friends we made and sharing tales of travel over a beautiful table of homemade food.

Treat yourself to this B&B. You will not regret it!
