Tangley Hall B&B

Tangley Hall, The Street, Hampshire, GU34 3DT

With rolling countryside on all sides, Tangley Hall in Farringdon, part of the South Downs National Park, makes for a great base for exploring Hampshire. The house has two bedrooms, the Cottage Bedroom (a double) and the Garden Room (a twin), both with TV, complimentary toiletries, soft Egyptian cotton sheets and duvet covers, fluffy bathrobes and towels. The former has a view of neighbouring pretty thatched cottages including the old village school, a kingsize bed and a private bathroom. The latter has an en-suite power shower and stunning views over the garden and hills beyond. From the village, you have easy by car access to Alton, Farnham, Winchester, Petersfield and Basingstoke and you needn’t even get in the car to reach some great pub restaurants. Wi-Fi is available if you need to work in the evening. This B&B was awarded four stars by the tourist board Visit Britain and Enjoy England in 2010 - 2011.

We had an extremely comfortable stay here. The bedroom had orthopaedic mattresses, crisp white linen, a powerful shower and was spotlessly clean. Elizabeth produced a perfectly cooked full English breakfast with home-made bread and a huge bowl of fresh fruit. Elizabeth was charming and extremely accommodating on what time we would like breakfast after we'd attended a wedding the previous day.
Really fantastic value for money; we would recommend staying here if you were ever to need a bed in the surrounding area and want an incredibly comfortable, peaceful nights sleep following by a superb breakfast!

The place was incredibly well-kept - smart bedding, upmarket tea and coffee facilities and luxury bathroom lotions. Elizabeth, the landlady/proprietress, was extremely welcoming, making sure I was comfortable and very accommodating with breakfast preferences and timings. A wonderful stay and a phenomenal value for money!
