Set in 2.5 acres of gardens, Crossways Farm is a Grade II listed farmhouse of late 14th Century origin, located in Hitcham, central Suffolk, only 15 minutes from the famous medieval wool town of Lavenham.

The 2 guest rooms, spacious bathroom and private breakfast & sitting room with log stove are self-contained and located at the end of the west wing of the house with their own private entrance and staircase.

Whether you book one or both bedrooms, the accommodation is reserved exclusively for you, and with no other guests or occupied adjacent rooms you can be assured of your privacy and peace and quiet.

For warmer months of the year you will have a private area of the garden with hammocks, table and chairs to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

I can highly recommend this place to anyone wanting an idyllic long weekend or week away. Yalda is the perfect host. The house and gardens are to die for and the breakfast is the best you will ever get.

A lovely place to stay with children. The host, Yalda, is welcoming and does everything that she can to make your stay enjoyable. She prepares a fantastic breakfast. The accommodation is spacious and very well decorated. The outdoor space is great and our little ones made the most of the vast garden and the tennis court. The children also loved the animals and collecting the eggs from the hens every day. A little gem...

I have never written a review before but am making an exception for Crossways Farm as everything was simply perfect. We took a 14 year old and an 11 year old who are normally glued to their phones but they didn't even switch them on as they were too busy rowing the boat, playing tennis, collecting the eggs from the chickens, mucking around in the hammocks, playing football with the goats and looking out for the moorhen chicks. The accommodation was beautiful and the breakfast just amazing, Yalda thinks of everything and we will definitely be back.

Our stay at Crossways Farm was wonderful! The farmhouse is full of character and very well kept, with a vast, lush garden that is a joy for the little ones to explore. Breakfast is plentiful and of excellent quality. The accommodation is very comfortable and there are many little touches that make a difference to your stay. Yalda, the owner, is extremely welcoming and friendly and she was fantastic with our children. We definitely recommend this B&B.

We stayed at Crossways Farm for my husband's birthday and our first trip away with our 2 month old son and it was truly wonderful! Yalda is a superb host and is always ensuring you are comfortable and have everything you need. The place has been done up luxuriously. The beds, woodburner and bath are wonderful! There are great footpaths out of the front door and Lavenham is a short drive away. The best thing about it is the amazing breakfast and also the beautiful grounds and friendly animals.

We had a fantastic six nights at Crossways Farm and want to go back already! We enjoyed our stay so much; the very high standard of accommodation, delicious breakfast, fabulous garden with resident goats and hens along with the perfect host. Yalda has put a huge amount of thought, care and hard work into creating a wonderful Bed and Breakfast experience – every detail has been thought of from catering for individual tastes and dietary requirements, using locally and ethically sourced produce to the chocolates on our pillows at bedtime! Our children absolutely loved the animals and spacious garden, along with rowing on the pond. I can’t recommend Crossways highly enough – we will certainly be visiting again.

What a wonderful place - every little thing for a happy and comfortable stay has been thought of. We feel very privileged to have been among the first people to stay. Yalda is the consummate host and her animal friends were a delight for the kids (and the grownups) - we hope to be back soon!

A really lovely little haven away from the hustle and bustle of modern life... We had a wonderful stay here, very relaxing and the goats, chickens, ducks and moorhens provided lots of entertainment for our 4 year old! All the rooms are really well furnished and comfy, and the breakfasts (and other snacks!) were delicious. Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone.

We received a warm welcome from our hostess, Yalda, who was wonderful throughout our visit in every way. It is evident that she loves this place, and with good reason. The old farmhouse is unique and beautiful, and the surrounding garden, complete with picturesque pond and bridge, is simply stunning. The room with adjacent bathroom, both recently and very tastefully redecorated, are just perfect for a romantic weekend away. The charm of the thatched roof, low doorways and quaint layout won both of us over immediately. Moreover, it is clear that every aspect of your stay has been thought about with great attention to detail, down to the hen-decorated linen napkins. Our breakfast was lovingly presented, copious and, above all, delicious: fresh eggs from the hens you might just spot outside while eating breakfast, homemade jams and local honey. Better still, we got the chance to soak up the early rays of sunshine in the garden in the early morning. A piece of heaven!
