What can guests enjoy when staying in the Yelverton area?
Yelverton is a lovely village offering local amenities, yet it is just 5 miles to Tavistock and 10 miles to Plymouth. Road, rail and bus links are superb. The village has a good food pub just a 4-minute walk away, 2 cafes, butcher, a delicatessen selling local produce, bicycle rental, hairdressers/beauty salon, a post office/petrol station, and a mini-market. Princetown - the highest point of Dartmoor - is just 6 miles away which has a lot on offer including the visitor's centre, brewery, and museum. Guests can walk the West Devon Way which comes through Yelverton, or cycle Drake's Trail which is part of Route 27, and there are many National Trust properties close by.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
A fabulous breakfast is served each morning. Meat comes from the village butcher, eggs and bread are delivered by local villages and jams and marmalade are homemade. The local pub serves food, and there are many independent pubs/restaurants within a couple of miles. Tavistock and Plymouth also provide Michelin starred restaurants. A list of local pubs/restaurants will be sent to you with your booking confirmation as it is always best to book a table during busy periods.
