Overview

Ascot House has been awarded 4 gold stars by the AA and a 4 Star Silver Award by Visit Britain. The city centre is just a 15-minute stroll, or a short bus or taxi ride away, free enclosed car parking to the rear of the house is also available. Internet access is available in reception and free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout. A selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available throughout the day to enjoy in the lounge from the 'Butler's Pantry'. 

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Ascot House?

Ascot House is comprised of 12 bedrooms, two en-suite ground floor bedrooms that are suitable for those who do not wish to climb too many stairs. On the first floor is six additional bedrooms which all have four-poster or canopy beds, one being suitable for a family. On the top floor are the remaining four bedrooms, two doubles, and a final two family rooms. All of the bedrooms boast a TV, free WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, radios and hairdryers.

There are a variety of events happening in and around York all year round. Whether you can appreciate the magnificence of the famous York Minster, or check out thee outstanding pieces of art at York Art Gallery, experience the roar of running hooves at York Racecourse or find out about the city's shocking past at the York Dungeon, there's someone to suit everybody.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Traditional and vegetarian breakfasts are served in the dining room, using locally sourced produce with continental options also available from the buffet. Good pub food can be found nearby or recommended restaurants just a short walk away for when you want to dine out.

From A1/M1 take A64 towards York (ignoring signs A1036 for Racecourse) and continue on dual carriageway to the East of the City. At the junction of A1237, take A1036 into York. 100 yrds past 30 MPH signs take 2nd exit off roundabout, signed Heworth. At next traffic lights, turn right into East Parade.
