What can guests enjoy when staying in the Alnwick area?
Northumberland is famous for its miles of golden, deserted beaches, where you would be pushed to bump into anyone else. The Northumbrian countryside is second to none, and the rugged moors are atmospheric to say the least.
There are castles galore, including the ever popular Alnwick and Bamburgh, both in a short driving distance. However I feel the jewel in the crown is Warkworth Castle, which is situated directly opposite!
Warkworth village itself is popular and picturesque, with its many cosy pubs, eateries and galleries.
The river Coquet encompasses this wonderful village and a walk alongside the river, to catch site of the odd heron, swans, ducks and seals is a popular pastime with all guests.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
The breakfast menu here is award wining, varied and much praised!
Evening meals are not available, but lots of guests choose from the in room dining, and picnic hamper menu, which offer both hot and cooked items should you wish to relax in your room rather than go out.
The immediate area offers some truly wonderful eateries, using lots of fresh seasonal produce and you only have to ask for recommendations.
