Overview

The Old School is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a great place to escape to. Unspoiled villages and historical towns are all within easy reach. Once a Victorian schoolhouse built in 1854 and more recently a day nursery, the converted home now has a more genteel, but still carefree atmosphere. Accommodation comprises 4 en-suite rooms, private sitting rooms and luxurious food, all prepared and home-cooked by Wendy using locally sourced products. Food plays a big part in your stay. An experience not to be missed.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at The Old School?

Guests can enjoy the Old School Dining Hall and the upstairs vaulted-ceiling Sitting Room as well as four very comfortable en-suite bedrooms. All four bedrooms have size super-king sized double beds, Egyptian cottn sheets and hypo-allergenic bedding and pillows. Each of the rooms are named after neighbouring village schools On request, blankets are given. There is a refrigerator to keep your milk and bottled water cooled or use it for your own bubbles or spirits! Guests have a kettle and a choice of premium-quality coffee and tea with decaffeinated options and assorted herbal and fruit teas, plus biscuits to nibble on.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Moreton in Marsh area?

In the beautiful northern Cotswolds, in the largest region of natural beauty in England, the B&B offers you a place to relax, refresh, rejuvenate, take a look at unspoiled sleepy villages, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of busy wild cities and admire the magnificent buildings and fascinating sights in historical Oxford, Cirencester, Warwick or Shakespeare’s home town, Stratford-upon-Avon.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

The Old School B&B cooked breakfast is pretty notorious, and you won't be disappointed. Other top choices include homemade fresh fruit compotes, juices, cereals, yoghurts and nuts, or porridge, cream, molasses and cinnamon. Your host enjoys cooking dinner for guests once or twice a week, with a minimum of six people and depending on her busy schedule. The Cotswolds is blessed with wonderful village inns, local cafes and restaurants offering mouth-watering dining to suit every palate and every occasion. They pride themselves on the innovative, high-quality cooking and the pleasure of getting local, seasonal ingredients from the Cotswolds fertile escarpment and valleys.
