Overview

Head straight to the heart of Hadrian's Wall country, surrounded by glorious views over Birdoswald Roman Fort and the River Irthing valley, stretching towards Northumberland National Park, and put your weary feet up at Bush Nook Guest House. Dating back to the 18th century, you'll enjoy warm and cosy interiors and traditional home cooking. After an exhilarating and exhausting day trekking the beautiful countryside, there's a mix of singles, doubles and twins to return to, all fitted with lovely crisp white cotton bedding, digital TV and a stack of deep towels.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Bush Nook Guest House?

Bush Nook has 8 comfortable guest bedrooms offering a mix of single, double and twin occupancy, all rooms boast ensuite bathrooms, have FREE Wi-Fi, Freeview TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The Bush Nook can accommodate larger groups wanting to create memories within a stylish retreat. There is a large garden sitting room with a log burner and views of the surrounding countryside, a large, spacious breakfast room and even outdoor hot tubs to relax in whilst enjoying the views.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Brampton area?

The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hadrian's Wall is close by making Bush Nook the ideal base to visit this wonderful historical area. Along with a number of other cycle routes, there's also the Hadrian's Wall Cycleway where you can cycle the full length of the wall. A short drive will take you to the North Pennines AONB, one of England's most special places to visit. Another worthwhile visit is the historic city of Carlisle with its Castle, Cathedral and Tullie House (Border Reivers) Museum. Discover England's largest National Park, now the Scafell Pike World Heritage Site, the highest mountain of its kind, Wastwater, and the deepest lake and some of the most awe-inspiring scenery of the UK.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

In the local village of Gilslsnd, there is a very nice pub/restaraunt, The Samson Inn. Megs Tea Rooms an award wining cafe offer tea and coffee and snacks and packed launches.
