Overview

The Merry Harriers Llama Trekking Centre is situated behind the Merry Harriers inn, nestled in the Surrey Hills. Within the herd are 10 llamas, with new babies due in the spring. Llamas are wonderful trekking companions, despite their poor reputation; the Merry Llamas are particularly curious and friendly, and make a great walking companion for old and young alike!

Where is Merry Harriers Llama Trekking Centre located?

The Merry Harriers Inn & Llama Trekking Centre is situated in the idyllic country village of Hambledon, in Surrey, bordering the South Downs National Park, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Enjoy the scenery of the Surrey Hills in a completely new way, trekking through the woodlands, over gorse-covered hills (used in local gins!), and across sandy paths with a large, and rather unusual companion; a Surrey Hills Llama!

Details on what activities are available at Merry Harriers Llama Trekking Centre?

Treks start out from the Merry Harriers inn, and you can roam with your companion for 2 to 4 hours, depending on your choice of trek! With English Picnic Treks, Luxury Champagne Treks, or Winter Morning Treks available, as well as children's parties, hen and stag treks, and even B&B stay trek packages available, there is something to suit every trekker's needs and abilities. There are even school treks arranged with the local community, as well as opportunities for those with sight disabilities, and children with learning difficulties also regularly coming to the Centre to work and trek with the Llamas. Meet & Greets, especially with the new babies in the spring/summer, are huge hits with locals and visitors alike.

Things to do in the local area?

Visiting this area of the Surrey Hills can provide a variety of other activities for guests; within the village of Hambledon, it is possible to hire bicycles and go on routes planned for all abilities. There is a large golf course, just a stone's throw away in Godalming and Milford. Shopping is available in Guildford, as well as a large cinema complex, and the leisure centre with bowling, ice skating, and swimming all available. For those willing to travel a little further afield, the inn is situated within an hour's travel to multiple large seaside towns on the South Coast, including Portsmouth, Chichester, and Brighton.
