Located at the top of Steep Hill in Lincoln, the cathedral is easily accessed from all parts of the city. Follow the signs for the Cathedral Quarter when driving. A Park & Ride service also operates from the north and south of the city.

The Cathedral acts as a centre of excellence for traditional crafts and music, and it has a renowned library. Consecrated in 1092, the cathedral was reputed to be the tallest building in the world, from 1311 to 1549, when the central spire collapsed, reducing the cathedral's overall height.
